Nicole McGuffin is a board-certified neurotherapist, licensed psychotherapist, and certified Gestalt therapist. She holds a master’s in counseling, a bachelor’s in sociology, and is currently working towards her Psy.D. in psychology. She is a member of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback.
Both in her education and work with young adults, Bonnie supports the learning of those around her with humor, patience, and inquiry, finding great value in the many forms learning can take. Bonnie brings a depth of experience with almost seven years of year-round work as a wilderness therapy instructor in Northeastern Utah and over thirteen years of experience in the helping profession serving young adults and families. She has a grounded but playful and inviting presence. Bonnie has her masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in Body Psychotherapy. She has also nearly completed a three-year training to become certified in Somatic Experiencing, a body-based approach to healing trauma. Beyond her work and studies, Bonnie is an avid adventurer and enjoys playing outside with her dogs and the people.
Micah has a background in working with at risk youth in residential and wilderness settings. He holds a masters degree in Wilderness Therapy and has been searching for effective ways to support people to live the best possible life. This lead to him discovering Neurofeedback for his own challenges with ADHD, dyslexia, and anxiety. Micah is passionate about helping people or finding the right place for people to get help. When not in the office he is often out in the woods and maybe watching some netflix.
Dr. Steven Stockdale is a licensed clinical psychologist. Dr. Stockdale has extensive experience in clinical and research applications of Quantitative EEG technology. He has also worked with elite athletes from both Japan and the Unites States. Dr. Stockdale is currently the Clinical Director of The Neuro-Health Center in Colorado Springs, CO, which specializes in Quantitative EEG evaluations and neurofeedback treatment for Attention Deficit Disorders and Mild Closed Head Injuries. In 1991, Dr. Stockdale established a research and treatment facility for Lexicor Medical Technology. Previously, he was in private practice specializing in child and family psychology and has held appointments at the University of Colorado and Chapman University. Dr. Stockdale is an internationally known speaker on Quantitative EEG and neurofeedback. He is the past president of The International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, a professional society dedicated to the advancement of Quantitative EEG and neurofeedback through research.
With a behavioral sciences background and an emphasis on psychology, Nicole comes from a medical orientation in her last position and brings strengths of clinical knowledge, technical savvy and a high level of clarity, authenticity and warmth. Her degree in Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology gives her the knowledge necessary for coaching optimal training sessions.
She is currently working toward board certification.
Leslie Sherlin, PhD serves as a consultant to Amazing Brains for high performance in elite athletes and peak performance. Dr. Sherlin is listed in the U.S. Olympic Committee Sport Psychology and Mental Training Registry. He is a certified consultant by the Association for Applied Sports Psychology, certified at the diplomat level in Quantitative Electroencephalography (QEEG) and is BCIA Board Certified in biofeedback.
Chad Benson spearheads accounts payable for Amazing Brains. He handles all financial aspects of the practice and will assist you in obtaining printable reimbursement statements for insurance submission and end of year statements.
